Jamie Ware, DIP PFS

Before founding Churchill Investments in 1996 Jamie held a Director’s position at Foreign and Colonial Asset Management and before his stint in the city gained experience in the protection space working for Phoenix Assurance. Having been as close to the coal face as one can possibly get when it comes to the construction of retail financial products. Jamie’s knowledge of the investment vehicles used at Churchill is second to none. His knowledge has been built up over a 35 year spell in the industry.

After living in London Monday to Friday for many years Jamie is now based 5 minutes from the office in Churchill with his wife Nikki. Despite being diagnosed with both Asthma and Diabetes Jamie still likes to try his hand at half marathon running and is a 'Gold Card' holder of the Great North Run. Originally from Minehead, at weekends Jamie can often be found on the hills of Exmoor covering great distances with his two Labradors, Spencer and Randolph.

Tom Ware, APFS

Chartered Financial Planner

After graduating from The University of Birmingham with a degree in Economics, Tom started life in the industry as an Investment Analyst; keen to work more closely with private clients, Tom obtained his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and has now achieved chartered status. On top of writing the financial planning section of a local magazine, Tom also plays a key role within the company’s research process and given his background in analysis, holds a position on our investment strategy committee.

Those who have visited the office would have met Tom’s dog Dougie, who now spends most of the day with us and takes up most of Tom’s free time with walking and running. Tom is also a keen rugby player although as the years creep by retirement is looking more and more likely.

Michael Pye, DIP PFS

Michael is the most recent addition to the Churchill Investments team, although he does have previous connections thanks to an internship he completed with us in 2015. He is now working as a paraplanner whilst he completes the exams required to obtain Chartered Financial Planner status with the hope of taking on an advisory role himself in the future.

Away from the desk, Michael is a keen cricketer, heavily involved in the local Churchill cricket team as both a spin bowler and bit part batsman when required.

Sue Ball

Started her career in the Avon and Somerset Police.  After taking a short break from the work place to raise her two children, Sue has since obtained 14 years experience working at a firm of Solicitors and now holds the position of Office Manager here at Churchill Investments.

When not at work, Sue enjoys day trips to London, visiting our great country’s historical sites, or taking in a show at the Bristol Hippodrome.


Chris Singleton

During his time at Glamorgan University, studying International Wildlife Biology, Chris was lucky enough to journey to both South Africa and Borneo in the name of research. After graduating in 2013 Chris has held a number of positions across a wide range of professions before deciding that financial services was where he wanted to build a career, confirmed by the fact that he is now working towards his professional exams.

When not studying for his exams, Chris is focused on enjoying all that North Somerset has to offer, be that cycling round the county in the search of fine ale or exploring further afield on his motorcycle.


David Wootton, DIP PFS

David is our part time administrator having worked in Financial Services for over 40 years. David started his career in Banking (NatWest) before becoming an Independent Financial Adviser and then a Wealth Manager in his early thirties and following a number of successful years, moved into various supporting roles.

Subsequently joined Aviva for 10 years being responsible for Personal Protection Advice Standards, before moving back to RBS and finally employed by Coutts & Co working in similar roles.

Outside of work, David is likely to be keeping fit either at the Gym, Cycling or walking with his dog.


Jayne Mathias

Jayne has worked as an administrator within the Financial Services Sector for over 20 years before joining Churchill Investments.

Outside of work Jayne enjoys eating out and travel.
