We are independent
financial advisers specialising in investment, where we have specialist
expertise. We have been trading since 1996 and are based in Winscombe, a North
Somerset village about 15 miles south of Bristol on the A38. This location
suits us very well, and since we will meet clients wherever it is convenient,
they do not have to trek out to Winscombe to meet us. The village does, though,
contain an excellent pub and restaurant.
We also operate an
agency for Coventry Building Society formally Stroud and Swindon.
For the record, we are not connected in any way with
the dog-and-bone Churchill that sells car insurance.
Our aim is to provide a genuinely personal ongoing
service and given the depth of experience we have throughout our team we are very
well placed to do so. On top of this experience we also have a 7 strong administration
team in place supporting both the advisors and our clients when it comes to the
execution of advice.
Jamie

as close to the coal face as one can possibly get when it comes to the
construction of retail financial produces Jamie’s knowledge of the investment
vehicles used at Churchill is second to none. Knowledge built up over a 25
years spell in the industry.

Steve Poland
Steve
has been with Churchill since the start and after 15 years at the company many
of which spent as a Director, plays a key role in the inner workings of the
firm. It is quite astonishing that the 15 years at Churchill, make up less than
half of Steve’s time in the industry. After a period at the Inland Revenue and
an advisory career spanning over 20 years Steve is well versed with the issues
surround retirement planning. On top of this through his connections with a
number of Solicitors Steve has the expertise needed for all aspects of
Inheritance Tax, trust and Pension planning.
Steve
has lived in Weston-Super-Mare with his wife Kate for many years now and is a
big fan of Somerset cricket. The sporting interest doesn’t stop at cricket with
just about any competitive sporting event catch Steve’s eye.
Ian Evans
Joining
Churchill Investments in 2005 Ian has recently achieved his QCF level 4 which
compliments over 22 years experience as an adviser nicely. Having worked at
Lloyds banks for many years Ian is no stranger to a high standard of training
which has left him more than able to advice on a wide range of subjects including
Life Insurance and Pensions and investment to name but a few.
Having
lived in Somerset all his life and now married with 2 children, Ian has
naturally developed into quite the rugby expert. Having played to a high
standard in his youth Ian is now an avid supporter of Bath and his views on
England selection often feature in conversation.

underway to achieving the next rung of the qualifications ladder.
After
spending the majority of his adult life in Bath Jon now lives with his wife and
2 children in Nailsea, a distance from Winscombe Jon prefers to cycle, although
this is done on a strictly fair weather basis. However, supporting his 2 boy’s
football careers from the side line has to be done in all conditions and with
an energetic Spaniel who likes to try her hand at gardening if not walked Jon
is no stranger to the British weather.
